Today is a day to mark a milestone for our tennis academy. Three of our former players, all of whom trained at our facilities, are embarking on their first qualifying round at Roland Garros. This moment is the fruit of many years of work, determination and passion for tennis.
Benoît Paire – 155th ATP, Trained at the Academy from 1997 to 2007
Benoît PaireCurrently 155th in the ATP rankings, is a well-known name in the world of tennis. Having spent ten crucial years at our academy, from 1997 to 2007, Benoît developed a unique style of play, marked by his creativity and unpredictability on the court. Over the years, he has built a solid career on the professional circuit, with ups and downs, but always with undeniable talent. Today, he returns to Roland Garros with the firm intention of proving that he still has good days ahead of him and that his place is among the best. Arthur Gea Ranked 383rd in the ATP, represents the new generation of players from our academy. Trained with us from 2013 to 2019, Arthur quickly showed promising qualities, combining power and technique. Still young and on the rise, he approaches these qualifications at Roland Garros with the enthusiasm and energy that characterize him. His journey so far demonstrates unfailing commitment and constant progression. Mathias Bourgue – 289th ATP, Trained at the Barrere Academy from 2006 to 2010
Mathias BourgueCurrently 289th in the world, has also passed formative years at our academy, from 2006 to 2010. Known for his consistency and endurance, Mathias is a player who has climbed the tennis ladder with determination. Although he trained at the Barrere Academy after his time with us, his time at our academy was crucial in laying the foundations of his game and his mentality. At Roland Garros, he will fight to prove that his hard work can pay off on the international stage. His tenacity and experience could make him a serious contender for a place in the final draw.
